A small French bakery a block back from the beach. The croissants are folded and proved over three days, and the almond ones are filled with frangipane we make here. There's quiche at lunch and a croque monsieur if you're lucky. The patisserie case changes with the season. Coffee is roasted locally and poured all day.

Get there before eight or the almond croissants are gone. Three days of lamination, apparently, and you can tell. I set an alarm for these now, which I'm not proud of.
The quiche Lorraine at lunch is the real thing. Proper gruyere, smoked bacon, and pastry that shatters everywhere. I take a box of chouquettes home every Friday.
Ordered a fruit tart for mum's birthday with a day's notice and it was better than I'd hoped. I drive over from Claremont for the canele anyway.

When should I come for the almond croissants?
Early. Everything is baked fresh each morning and when it's gone, it's gone. The almond croissants usually sell out first.
Can I order a whole quiche, tart or celebration cake?
Yes - whole quiches, tarts and celebration pieces are made to order with a day's notice. Call or ask at the counter.
Do you take bookings?
No bookings - it's a small room, so take a marble table if one's free. Most regulars grab a box of pastries to take away.
Are you open Mondays?
No - we bake Tuesday to Friday from 6:30am, Saturday from 7am and Sunday mornings until 1pm. Monday is the ovens' day off.
Where do I park?
There's street parking on Napoleon Street and the surrounding blocks. We're a block back from the beach, so it's an easy walk from the Cottesloe foreshore too.
