How we work
Built square, built once
Every job runs to the same four steps so there are no surprises. We measure up and listen to what you actually want, then put it in writing - a fixed quote with a clear scope and a start date. On site we set out from a level datum and check every frame for square and plumb before it's clad or decked. At handover you get your compliance paperwork, the structural guarantee, and a site left clean enough to use that afternoon.

Common questions
Are you a registered builder?
Yes. We hold a WA builder's registration (BC12345) through the Building and Energy division of DEMIRS. Any structural building work over the owner-builder threshold legally has to be carried out by a registered builder, and ours covers the decks, patios, extensions and structural carpentry we do.
How do quotes and contracts work?
Quotes are free, fixed and given in writing with a clear scope. For residential work over $7,500 we use a standard HIA or Master Builders home-building contract so the price, the stages and the timeline are locked in for both of us before a tool comes out.
How long will my job take?
A standard deck or pergola is usually one to two weeks on site once materials land. Renovations and extensions run longer and depend on council and engineering sign-off. We give you a realistic timeline with the quote and keep you posted if weather or supply moves it.
What does the structural guarantee cover?
Our workmanship carries a 25-year structural guarantee on the framing and load-bearing work we build, on top of the statutory home-indemnity cover required in WA. If something we built structurally fails in normal use, we come back and put it right.
Can you work with me if I'm an owner-builder?
Absolutely. Plenty of owner-builders bring us in for the structural carpentry - the framing, the deck, the roof - and handle the rest themselves. We're happy to quote a defined stage of the build rather than the whole thing.
Are you insured?
Yes - full public liability cover plus the home-building indemnity insurance required for registered building work in WA. Certificates of currency are provided on request before work starts.
